Gray Transitional Kitchen With Wood Island
Gray cabinets framed with white molding add visual interest to this small kitchen area. A tray ceiling with recessed lighting adds height to the space and brightens the room with white beadboard. A wood island juts off the the sleek counter space, providing a casual dining space and extra storage for wine bottles. Glass-front cabinet doors allow the yellow cabinet interior to shine through for a pop of yellow, which complements the yellow undertones of the tile backsplash.
Originally, this kitchen was small and outdated, and the layout was not conducive to multiple people working at the same time. The designers moved one of the boundary walls back 4 feet to enlarge the space. A large island in the middle can be used for prep work and also provides a place for guests to gather.
A large island and custom corner banquette offer casual dining options in this transitional kitchen. Gray tiled walls provide welcome contrast with white cabinetry, while the blue-gray island adds a welcome dose of color.
A gorgeous gray kitchen island with a granite countertop complements this crisp white kitchen. Upholstered wooden barstools wrap around the island, while dark hardwood floors add another level of contrast to the space.
Keeping your wine chilled is not a problem in this kitchen featuring a wine fridge, carrara marble countertops and tile backsplash, a gray island with prep sink and white cabinetry including refrigerator panels.
To update this kitchen's lovely basics, designers installed a glazed brick backsplash and gave existing cabinets a handsome gray lacquer finish. Matte black hardware and rough-sawn white oak shelves lend a hint of older farmhouse appeal to the 15-year old home.
As seen on Home Town, the Burks' residence has been fully renovated by hosts Ben and Erin Napier. After renovations, the old wood cabinets and appliances were removed. Their Laurel, Mississippi kitchen now features new cabinetry, lighting, a new brick backsplash and a custom cutting block table built by Ben Napier. (after)
Gray Transitional Kitchen with Dark-Stained Island
A dark-stained island with a sculptural top blends with gray-toned cabinetry in this well-appointed and spacious transitional kitchen. Leaded glass cabinet doors turn one bank of upper cabinetry into a furniture-style showpiece, while a professional Wolf range makes the space a chef's dream. Two sculptural pendants provide task lighting for the island, as well as a contemporary touch.
Shades of gray (ahem) give cool sophistication to this renovated kitchen where the walls were pushed back to create a larger space. The white island freshens up the palette and the striking herringbone backsplash adds graphic punch.
An island with a soft gray base helps ground the light airiness of this open plan kitchen that includes bright white cabinets, a white tile backsplash and glass pendants. Upholstered barstools make hanging out even more welcoming.
