Quick-Fix Carpet Tiles
The timeline for the redesign of the room was six days, due mostly in part to the quick installation of the floor. FLOR carpet tiles were installed after the existing wall-to-wall carpet was removed along with its padding. All that was needed for installation was a utility knife with extra blades as well as an L-square.
Instead of searching endlessly for the perfect area rug, create your own colorful look with carpet tiles. You can achieve a big look on a small budget by going modular; just six FLOR® tiles can make a roughly 3’ x 5’ rug or a narrow 10-foot runner, and the individual tiles can cost as little as $8 apiece. Shown is the FLOR style House Pet, which comes in a rainbow of hues and can stand up to heavy foot traffic.
In this multipurposed great room, a series of artistically-placed geometric rugs adds pattern and defines different conversation areas. Planes of Wenge anchor the main seating areas and bring your eye upward to the various lighted ceiling designs and levels.
In this living room, hardwood flooring contrasts with a red, white and blue color palette. Carpet tiles allow for the rearrangement of color and pattern when the room needs a refresh. White sofas keep the room from being too colorful.
Transitional Bedroom With Carpet Tiles and Modern Light Fixture
This master bedroom seen on HGTV's Kitchen Cousins is a good example of how to turn old into new, without spending a lot of money. The Kitchen Cousins replaced the old carpet with new carpet tile by Flor, added new bed linens, and applied new paint. The old ceiling fan is gone and replaced with a simple modern light fixture.
In this girl’s bedroom, designer Nancy Snyder started with a favorite teal and purple duvet and a dark armoire and dresser set. Bright white furnishings are balanced with dark wood accents, and new carpet tiles complement the duvet and the wall art.
What was once an awkward bedroom is now this vibrant playroom. A geometric mural brings in a graphic rainbow of colors. Easily replaceable commercial carpet tiles are a genius flooring choice in a room where spills and splashes are part of the daily routine.
A Living Room That Proves It Can Be Both Serious and Fun
Balance sophisticated living room furniture choices with lively patterns and colors all around. From the patterned curtains, lampshades, pillows and throws to carpet tiles and bright yellow cabinet, these mostly muted and repeated tones combine for an interesting space you can easily do at home.
In a go-big-or-go-home design approach, these homeowners paired bold color with bold texture for a fun, fresh kids bedroom. By using the space wisely, this room easily accommodates two twin beds with ample area for a play "yard" comprised of green carpet tiles.
To mix high and low price points, the room's existing bed and mattress were outfitted with discount bedding found online and through local retail stores. The money saved on the bedding allowed for splurges on other elements such as the lighting, carpet tiles and custom wall finish.
A custom banquette fits perfectly with the planes of a modern plank dining table, creating a stylish eating nook that's large enough for the whole family. Carpet tiles are easy to clean or replace, making them an ideal choice for the high-traffic hub of a busy household.
Bright Yellow Playroom with Kid-Friendly Furniture
A bright yellow accent wall, green sofa, and blue chairs sets a fun and imaginative tone for this modern, colorful playroom. Gray carpet tiles are a kid-friendly alternative that are easy to clean and replace. The kids' drawings are framed and hung on the wall as the highlights of this play place.
Multicolored Eclectic Dining Room With Mid-Century Modern Dining Set
This colorful dining room features a mid-century modern white table and vibrant orange chairs with blue, green and yellow carpet tiles underneath. Hardwood floors are visible throughout the remaining space, while a bench seat with storage is located next to the window area, making it the perfect spot for enjoying natural light.
