White Kitchen With Wood and Metal Wheeled Cart
In a compact kitchen, a narrow, wheeled cart can be a space-savvy alternative to a traditional built-in island. “This custom-made walnut and stainless steel kitchen island was designed to save space and provide flexibility in the kitchen,” say designers Roy and Jen Leone. “The countertop is character-grade walnut butcher block ordered online, while the stainless steel base was fabricated by a local shop in Brooklyn. The island design allows stools to tuck under and out of the way when not in use or during a party. Also, the entire island can be rolled and then locked into place with locking casters.”
A wall of windows abuts a wall of mirrors in this oceanfront living room, creating a dreamy space that feels almost as if it's floating on a cloud. Walls, floors and furnishings are light and neutral, while warm wood accents ground the space and provide warmth. Sheer draperies layered beneath eggshell-hued panels add to the room's ethereal feel.
Everything about this gorgeous backyard, patio and pool was designed to evoke the East Coast's Hamptons. Pergolas provide poolside shade, while cozy furnishings and blue accents infuse the outdoors with a style all their own.
Flip or Flop: Unique Use of Space in White Modern Kitchen
As seen on HGTV's Flip or Flop, an extra long countertop is a creative way to make the most of the space in this bright white, modern kitchen. Hardwood floors extend into the living room pulling the separate spaces together.
Choose a navy and white master bedroom - Navy and white is one of the most elegant colour combinations, and a timeless one at that. Navy is dark enough to provide contrast but the blue adds a touch of warmth. If you start with blue walls, you can afford to bring in a lot of white in the ways of curtains, cushions, upholstery or bed coverings.
High-Gloss Brown Vanity Pops in Contemporary Bathroom
A rich brown vanity in a high-gloss finish makes a bold statement in this contemporary bathroom. The bathroom's walls, floors and glass-enclosed shower feature softer neutral hues, allowing the striking vanity to take center stage.
Open Plan Kitchen With Gray and White Granite Island
This home's open floor plan allows for easy transition between the kitchen and living room spaces, which share an all-over neutral color palette. The kitchen boasts a spacious island with a gray and white granite countertop, allowing room for food preparation and casual dining at the countertop stools.
Mismatched stripes work together here with classic navy balancing out the bolder red and light blue color scheme in the bed skirt and bolster pillows. Plants reside in woven hanging baskets to add visual interest and texture.
This fashionable transitional baby's room does not skimp on designer touches, from the wallpaper that pops with eye catching color to the crystal chandelier that illuminates the room. The furnishings were kept white giving a sense of space and peace while allowing the more colorful elements of the room to shine.
The ultimate girl's room, this bedroom features floral wallpaper in gray, pink and green that sets the tone for the color scheme. Black is a lovely contrast that adds drama to the space and makes the room feel more sophisticated for a teen girl.
