Simple, industrial-style metal chairs add vintage appeal to this seating area in the Little Boy Blu room at the San Francisco Decorator Showcase 2014, which was designed by Shelley Cahan as an upscale retreat for the youngest gentleman of the house.
Tall ceilings and walls of windows make this sitting room perfect for showing off the family tree. To ensure that everything looked festive yet cohesive, designer Robin LaMonte decorated the tree with blue and cream ornaments, which complement the room's tasteful furnishings.

When creating the Little Boy Blu room at the San Francisco Decorator Showcase 2014, designer Shelley Cahan left the room’s existing fabric wall treatment intact. The room’s muted blue-and-gray color palette with youthful pops of persimmon complements the patterned walls.
Stylish Sitting Room Makes a Great Conversation Space
For smaller, more intimate gatherings, designers set up a sitting room to create a stylish conversation space. Light blues and neutral tones create a soothing feeling in the space, while a window allows in natural light, which reflects off the mirror wall and the other three white walls, making the space feel brighter and more inviting. A fireplace provides warmth to the space, highlighting the vignette designers created in the room with four, plush armchairs and a tufted ottoman to keep the homeowners and their guests comfortable in this space.
This posh baby boy's nursery features an all-over gray and neutral palette with splashes of teal, as seen in the curtains and floral design on the rug. Illustrated wallpaper lines the room, while a white armchair and ottoman provide a cozy spot for cuddling with baby.
LGB Interiors choose a deep blue wall color to create a classic boy's bedroom. Space was maximized thanks to the lofted bed above the full-size bed. The room even includes a comfy seating area for the boys to play a game of chess.
Neutral, Stylish Living Room with Television and Two Sitting Areas
In the living room of this sorority house, designers created a functional, yet stylish space. With plenty of neutral seating, the space is warm and inviting. On one side of the room, a dark armoire conceals a television, giving the girls a place to store movies and games. On either side of the armoire, two seating areas give the space additional seating for work or play.
A blue ceiling adds a sky-like element to this beautiful boys' bedroom — perfect for the hanging model airplanes. The cloud rug echoes the flying theme and adds a lovely blue accent to the hardwood floor. Red details throughout the room pop and bring life to the stylish and fun design.
Built in bunks feature little windows, adding natural light to each bunk space. By adding a wing wall to support the bunks, a desk ledge area was created to act as a good drop zone for charging devices. The bold chartreuse green is pulled out of the rug and onto the doors and windows in the room!
This green and white boys' room has a dramatic feel because of the large artwork, patterned rug and green striped border surrounding the room. The bunk bed is not only stylish, but provides extra storage for toys and books.
