Black and Blue Spa Bathroom
Contractor Chip Wade of Elbow Room turns an attic into a breathtaking master suite with a sleek bathroom that opens up to the bedroom. The centerpiece of the room is a freestanding tub, which is flanked by matching his-and-her vanities. Behind the curtains is a large walk-in shower and extra dressing area, as seen on HGTV.com.
A red tile accent wall adds interest to this otherwise neutral spa bathroom. A luxurious soaking tub and glass-walled shower take up one side; on the other sits a large double vanity with striking black sinks.
Black can feel like a scary choice on the wall, but it can actually make a space more intimate. This gorgeous bathroom uses the color brilliantly and turns it into a cool platform for crisp color contrasts like the white towels and pretty wood dresser.
A few country-charming elements like the large soaking tub and marble-topped dressing table add friendly personality to this beautiful spa bathroom. It's got plenty of room to move around and the floating vanity adds to the open, clean mood.
The square shape of this bathroom's black steel boundary wall is picked up by the small white mosaic tiles that line the shower. A more organic note is brought in via houseplants and cedar floor planking.
Think outside the box with vanities in small spaces. Jo Torrijos, an Atlanta DIYer and stylist, created a makeup vanity area in her spa blue bathroom with a shelf that’s deep enough to hold the essentials. She used a small slab of inexpensive Silestone for the shelf.
Save with your materials and color choices. These bathroom countertops are Silestone, a quartz material that can get pricey. But Atlanta DIY blogger and stylist Jo Torrijos purchased them from a home improvement store at the right time -- when there was a special offer. Plus, she says the color she chose was in the “A” category, so it was one of the less expensive color options and comparable to lower-priced granite.
The sophisticated design of this bathroom befits its urban setting: simple, spare but elegant. The marble flooring picks up the crisp accent of the black window frame and check out that tempting soaking tub.
Is it a bathroom...or an extravagant penthouse apartment? Luxurious isn't quite enough to describe this spa bathroom that comes with a hot tub, fireplace, television, steam showers and that's only the beginning.
This beautiful master bathroom is a spa-like retreat that evokes elegance and serenity. The blue mosaic tile wall above the double vanity brings in a hint of textured color that perfectly compliments the peaceful setting.
