This modern home was brought back to life by opening up the spaces, adding windows and moving/adding doors. The HVAC chase that originally divided the family room was removed to create an open floor plan that now houses a cozy sitting area.
The new and spacious addition addresses the homeowners’ need for a larger porch stair landing and an expanded living room. The renovation of both spaces pays homage to the original historical design of the period.

Remodeled Country Home With Gorgeous Pergola-Covered Patio
At the rear of the house is a new patio and outdoor living space covered by a large pergola. The pergola's beam construction and dark staining integrates visually with the new beams at the front entrance and perimeter of the house. Outdoor furniture and hanging flower baskets complete the look of the space.
The homeowners needed an office in their new space, so designers created one that was as modern and elegant as the rest of the home. Within the space, there is plenty of storage with standing cabinets on one side of the desk, upper and lower cabinets in the rear of the space, and with the lower cabinets, designers gave the space an additional desk so there is plenty of flat work space. For the finishing touch, they decorated with statues and artwork that tie this space into the modern design of the rest of the home.
