To contrast the crisp white walls, the designers brought in a dark, reclaimed wood vanity with his-and-her sinks and a caged chandelier in black. A round, metallic tub waits in the corner for when the owners need to relax before bed.

This master bathroom, located in SPG Architects’ Murray Hill Townhouse in New York City, provides a quiet retreat from the city. The design of the house, a modern interpretation of Moroccan influences, is apparent in this space with rich woods and solid forms articulating the space. The sleek vanity and bathtub appear to float above the floor, enhancing the room's open, airy feel.
Rich variations of Calcutta gold marble, a wave of undulating mosaic tiles and polished nickel faucets exude luxury in this master bath. A digital shower system complete with stereo, mood lights and multiple showerheads amplifies the sense of luxury. Her vanity has a separate makeup area with lowered counter and additional storage is afforded with adjacent cabinetry.

Influences from architect Frank Lloyd Wright are seen in this powder room with the rhythmic play of the decorative vertical wood ladder detail, horizontal stacked bands of solid surface material and wood for the vanity. Additional warmth and interest were added with three stacked metal horizontal sconces. The vertical band of mirror visually expands the space, and the chrome faucet disappears into the mirror, creating a waterfall experience into the sculptural stone sink.
