This eclectic living room layers a mix of patterns and textures to create a warm, inviting space. A classic tufted bench is topped with hand-printed throw pillows, while a wooden end table is paired with a cool blue table lamp.
An antique telescope points to the wall of multi-pane windows in this neutral living room. Layered window treatments, white armchairs and a leather trunk serving as an end table round out the eclectic look.
HGTV's Property Brothers reupholstered vintage club chairs in an electric blue fabric to brighten the mood of this dark sitting room. Bamboo blinds, quirky tabletop decor and an industrial end table combine for an eclectic blend of styles.
Playful and pretty, periwinkle walls are the perfect backdrop to this eclectic girl's bedroom. Bunk beds are dressed in muted linens and patterned pillows, and a faux fur tripod chair is paired with a Moroccan end table for a reading nook.
Dark walls and floors contrast with a white platform bed in this eclectic bedroom. The modular bed incorporates a small end table with just enough room for a classic desk lamp. A ruched bedspread and bohemian rug soften the look.
This loft-style dining room features an eclectic vibe, blending a rustic farmhouse table with traditional brown leather armchairs at either end. Wicker chairs are positioned on either side of the table, while a vibrant yellow art canvas adds a modern touch. A mini lampshade chandelier finishes the look of the space.
Two cube-shaped end tables feature an eclectic blend of stone. To add to the mix of textures, Leanne Ford includes a palm leaf, a globe-shaped table lamp and a ceramic bowl. The backdrop? Board and batten paneling, as seen on HGTV's Restored by the Fords.
A central color palette comprised of brown, cream and white ensures that this eclectic living room looks cohesive and inviting. Where an Art Deco buffet and trunk-style coffee table provide essential storage space for odds and ends, a midcentury modern armchair offers a seat for guests.
This eclectic room works as a dining room or a game room with a multipurpose, black felt pool table as the centerpiece. Two large black velvet armchairs cap the ends of the table with smaller, green leather-upholstered chairs lining the sides. A neutral and black wallpaper pattern swirls throughout the room, creating a nice pattern contrast to the animal print rug.
This dining room from designer Vanessa-DeLeon is flanked with column-framed arched doorways and accentuated with an eclectic mix of the formal and rustic to create a dramatic and unexpected look. Banquettes in black crushed velvet sit at both ends of the wooden dining table, while eight sturdy leather and antique gold barrel dining chairs make up the rest of the seating in the space.
Sticking to only one time period can be a little dangerous when it comes to buying second-hand furniture. You may end up with a space that looks dated rather than curated. To pull together an eclectic look be willing to mix in your flea market finds with pieces that are new (or new-ish). This 70’s dining room table feels retro cool paired with crisp white resin chairs and super-saturated turquoise rug.
Decatur is known for its distinct, historic neighborhoods, eclectic food, and vibrant downtown: it is not known for log cabins. My clients are the owners of this unlikely urban retreat and wanted to design a space that provided a TV-free zone to read, relax, eat, and play games as a family. Red chairs were the pop that this space needed. The table was custom made and can expand for guests. We lined store-bought curtains to make them look higher end and put a roman shade of the same material over the large kitchen sink. It pulls it all together. It's a cabin, yes, but that does not mean every detail needs to be rustic!
