Pure Design Interiors inset a contemporary-styled floating vanity into this small space to create a functional and apportioned area for their clients. The dark wood of the vanity contrasts well with the softer tones of the walls, countertop and lighting fixtures to provide a warm and rich aesthetic. Simple brushed metal pulls complete the look.
Space was trimmed from the master bedroom and living room during renovation of this midcentury modern home to make way for a true master bathroom. A black ceiling and floating vanity give the illusion of extra room in the bathroom, while the playful lighting fixture adds a touch of whimsy to the space.
Think outside the box with vanities in small spaces. Jo Torrijos, an Atlanta DIYer and stylist, created a makeup vanity area in her spa blue bathroom with a shelf that’s deep enough to hold the essentials. She used a small slab of inexpensive Silestone for the shelf.
The guest bathroom features a lot of grand design, including clay stamped, white tiles, hex floor tiles with a black pencil accent, and a wall mounted faucet above the wooden vanity, giving the small space a vintage 1900s feel.
