The bathroom's single sink vanity gives guests ample counter space for grooming products. The white vanity pops against the aqua, white and blue-gray penny tiles on the backsplash that were also used for the shower.
Made from pine with a dark stain, designer Brian Patrick Flynn’s team created and installed this low user-friendly Dutch-style door that closes off the pet nook from surrounding spaces in the home. Outside the pet nook door sits an industrial-style iron pet feeder with raised ceramic dog food bowls that gives pets a posh way to enjoy mealtime.
The existing upstairs bathroom had an unusual layout with stand-up shower and tucked away toilet that ate up lots of square footage. Two big goals for this more functional and user-friendly bathroom was to make the layout more user-friendly and add natural light.
Making this HGTV Smart Home 2019 kitchen super user-friendly, the base cabinets include a hanging pan organizer with lid storage in a black nickel finish, a soft close mixer/appliance lift and a 50-quart double pullout waste container system. The kitchen also includes a 24-inch double cutlery drawer that keeps utensils organized.

The back wall of the walk-in pantry has a wall-mounted rack with space for cannisters of assorted dry goods. Adding labels to the cannisters makes it easy to quickly find ingredients when making nightly dinner or a special occasion meal.
