The showpiece of the contemporary, neutral kitchen is an 11-foot island, which adds extra counter space and provides a spot for the family to eat and gather. A tree decal on an orange wall provides a graphic touch and complements with wood cabinetry.
Used above the headboard, a simple branch wall decal adds a whimsical touch to this serene bedroom. The clean lines of the platform bed are complemented by the floating wooden shelves that double as nightstands. Matching bedside lamps and white bed linens keep the design light and fresh.
Jen Hatmaker of HGTV's My Big Family Renovation loves wallpaper, but when she came across this idea for wall decals online, she thought, "why not?" The birch tree decals were inexpensive and easy to apply. She and husband Brandon love how the decals accentuate this bedroom's high ceilings.
HGTV fan BrunetteMommy added a sweet detail to her nursery without lifting a paintbrush. The tree with tiny pink birds is actually a handmade wall decal from Etsy.com. Affordable and easy to apply, the decal can be removed when the nursery later transitions to a big girl room.
Thanks to its curved design, this swimming pool appears to flow from one corner of the backyard to the other. Palm trees on all sides provide some shade during the day, as well as complement the SoCal setting.
To create this nursery, designers first painted the walls a pewter gray color; then, they added birch tree and owl decals to make the space fun and decorative. Once the walls were painted, designers brought in an IKEA dresser and added hand-crafted owl drawer pulls to tie the dresser in to the design of the space. They also added a multicolor rug, a white crib and a modern rocking chair to complete the space.
