Keep a child’s things nice and neat in this built-in closet created by Tailored Living. Drawers, shelves, an accessible hamper and a clothing rod eliminate the need for bulky furniture in the room. A decluttered bedroom makes for pleasant dreams.
On the opposite end of the whimsical kids' room from the bunk beds, a toddler bed is nestled. Complete with its own orange teepee, this area creates a space that is perfect for big kids and little kids alike.
To add a personal touch to this toddler's room, designers showcased the little girl's first pair of ballet slippers and a photo of her at her first recital. For an elegant touch, these pieces are framed in gold, adding glitz and glamor to the space.
Toddler-size bunk beds are an excellent space-saving furniture option for children under the age of seven. Thinner and less wide than twin-size beds, toddler-size beds use up less space, thus allowing extra chairs or tables to fit into the room.
With a crib and changing table on one side of the space, this built-in toddler bed adds a place for an older sibling to comfortably enjoy a new room with the new baby. Shelves on either side of the bed and drawers below add storage for toys and clothes, giving the big kid a corner of the room that is all his own.
The design goal was to create a room that was comfortable for both adults and children. Durable fabrics that stand up to toddlers are used. The industrial-strength nylon carpet won’t stain, looks great and is practical. The microsuede sofa and chairs are also impervious to staining. Minimalist white cabinetry provides much-needed storage.
This little moment in the dining room reflects how Angela incorporates minimalist principals with colorful whimsy throughout the space. The artwork, painted by her two eldest children when they were just toddlers, is not only a great conversation piece but it also provides just the right amount of soft edges and free-flowing brushstrokes to create a contained chaos, that pairs perfectly with the clean modest lines of the credenza. The mod, architectural yellow chair (another one of Angela’s amazing vintage finds) may be small but it certainly makes a large impact in the space.
