A pedestal sink adds texture to the smooth, sleek look of this bathroom design. White walls create a bright and simple background to showcase the dark mirror frame, stone floor and decorative asian french doors.
Though small in scale, this bathroom is big on texture. The treatment behind the vanity and in the shower mimics the look of ocean waves and so has a calming presence in the space. Meanwhile, a basin sink with two faucets allows the kiddos (or visitors) to brush their teeth together.
Textured tile adds a subtle decorative finish to the backsplash of this kitchen. White cabinetry keeps the smaller space feeling inviting and airy. Dark neutral granite countertops and rich hardwood flooring add depth to the design. Stainless steel appliances add an updated feel to finish the functional and stylish feel.
The consistent, black surfaces of the countertops added depth and dimension to this loft, helping create the illusion of a larger space. Bronze and copper fixtures were selected by Ami Austin, interior designer, for a rustic, yet elegant tone. A long-tile backsplash was designed to protect the wooden walls near the kitchen sink as well as to create a sense of harmonizing style.
On the opposite side of the master bathroom, stones, wood and mosaic tiles continue the rich layering of textures. Vessel sinks leave enough countertop space to fit two in as well as a dressing table area.
In this soothing blue-gray and white contemporary bathroom, small details add visual texture, such as the framed mirror, the white glass-tile backsplash, the vessel sink and the textured dark wood vanity.
