A temperature-controlled wine tasting room features rustic brick walls, built-in wine racks and octagonal tile flooring. In the center of the room is a wine barrel table paired with leather-and-wood bar stools.
This room housed a piano and was rarely being used when we began this project. Due to the growing collection of wine, we were inspired to turn this into the ultimate wine tasting room. We designed a custom wine storage tasting island with waterfall sides, figured walnut bottle storage and bar service stations, painted the walls a deeper shade of gray for a more intimate atmosphere and completed it with a caviar style pendant.
All of the wine experience spaces are lined with either stone or stucco and have an antique brick floor. The tasting room is separate from the chilled wine so that the homeowners could entertain friends comfortably. A built-in bar area made from white oak has iron hardware.
A couple combined each of their own favorite pieces to create a truly unique living room. A beautiful blend of transitional furniture, modern art and houseplants is full of character and personal history.
The staircase in the front turrets leads down to the basement, which houses wine storage and a tasting room with a full bar. Since a new first-level attached garage constructed, the existing below-grade garage became storage and mechanical space, as well as a corridor to the existing basement.
The booming West End of Atlanta, home to the expanding BeltLine Westside Trail has brought an infusion of new businesses. Craft spirits venue ASW—home to Resurgens Rye, Fiddler's bourbon and a host of other locally-distilled spirits—already has a location in Midtown, but is opening a hip new tasting room and liquor destination for Atlanta's Southside.
The kitchen in this Oregon vineyard estate home turns into a public tasting room on weekends. To allow for privacy when desired, and openness when needed, a drop-down screen was installed to use during "wine tasting" hours to partition off the kitchen. When the homeowners want a more open flow, the screen retracts into the ceiling, a great idea for any home with an open kitchen that is sometimes better left unseen.
Frameless glass panels enclose the striking wine room in this lower-level entertainment space. A small tasting table wraps a structural column adjacent to the wine room, so guests can taste-test before selecting their drink of choice.
A sleek tasting table is constructed with the same wood as the structural column it wraps for a seamless design. The small table offers a convenient spot for taste-testing wines from the adjacent wine room.
This contemporary seating area is equally posh and cozy, creating the perfect setting for a wine-tasting night. Grab a couple bottles from the glass-enclosed wine room, and cozy up on the wine-hued sofa.
On the other side of the room, a small table becomes the perfect spot to host a tasting with friends or a date night with a loved one. In addition to being fully functional, the cabinets are visual stunners.
