The homeowner of this French Country Home wanted to re-charge her space and bring in vibrant colors, girly patterns and bold statements. The traditional furniture of this living room was replaced with bright colored pieces, such as this couch with tons of colors and a bold design. Complimentary pillows were added to accent the furniture and give the space an even more stylish and elegant look.
As seen on Cousins on Call, John Colaneri and Anthony Carrino used an old mantel they found during the Rao home's construction for a headboard. They salvaged the piece, cleaned it up and painted it blue. Now, the piece is a dramatic statement piece that has become the focal point of the room.
The dining room in this open concept home stands as a statement piece in the main space. The dining set-a white, modern table and contrasting black chairs-and pendant lights draw the eye out the wall of windows to the beautiful view below the apartment.
To make the kitchen island more of a statement piece, designers added shiplap to the backside of it. This detail helps to warm the neutral kitchen, as well as connects the space with the open cocnept living room and dining room beyond it.
Designers filled this fun, eclectic home of the NYC fashionista homeowner with bold, luscious fabrics, colors and statement pieces. For example, the homeowner's previously owned sectional was recovered in scrumptious green velvet, and a chunky. A funky, oversized mirror was placed between the sectional and the wall to reflect all of the room's gorgeous natural light. Designers mixed these features with other bold patterns, colors and textures to create a bold, exotic space that makes the owner feel right at home.
