Matt and Jodi sought the help of a designer friend to give purpose to the open space just off their apartment's entry. In order to use this as a private office space, the area needed to be separated somehow from the dining and living room areas.
Utilize a small area in the bedroom or hallway as a workspace when a dedicated home office room isn't available. A simple white desk doesn't overwhelm a small space, and a floating shelf provides extra storage when floor space is scarce.
This spacious kitchen allows room for a built-in small office space, including a built-in gray granite desktop and medium grain wood cabinets. A dining table with neutral leather chairs sits just to the left of the office area, while sliding French doors lead the way to the adjacent living room.
