This master bedroom features a warm apricot color scheme with jade accents. Two contemporary side tables are topped with iconic lamps, and windows at either end of the wall are unified with a luxurious silk curtain.
The walls in this Venetian-style bedroom are painted misty blue "Borrowed Light" from Farrow & Ball, which complements the chartreuse Scalamandre silk curtains. The original oak floors are left uncovered.
In this living room, dramatic floor-to-ceiling arched windows overlook the nearby river and afford sweeping vistas of the countryside. A luxurious blue silk curtain matches the mood of the window and view.
HGTV Star contestant Abby Vasek designed this bedroom for an artist who loves to be surrounded by color. She painted the furniture and walls, then brought in contrasting green silk draperies and colorful patchwork bedding.
The dark navy silk drapery and navy walls create a calming oasis in this master bedroom. The high gloss white enamel paint on the mantel and white chaise pops against the navy color while the Venetian mirror brings elegance to the room.
The well-lit bedroom turned out to be the perfect space for Paloma Contrera’s Spring Awakening study. Wallpapered panels (by deGournay) and luxe silk curtains give the space a vibrant, aesthetic.
“The room is a study in color used in a very mindful way, and showcases my signature modern-meets-traditional style,” explains Paloma.
The windows in this Midcentury Modern bedroom added beautiful view, but weren't very cozy, so designers added new, traverse, raw silk drapery to provide privacy as well as protection from the morning sun. To give the space personality and add texture and depth, new bedding and furniture was added to the space, and funky accents, such as the antique Tabriz rug and the modern art statue, tie the space together.
