Inspired by his partner's love of steampunk style, designer Tomas Frenes selected exposed copper piping in a funky layout and set it against a backdrop of high-gloss black subway tile in their master bathroom shower.
Beautiful striped stone tiles set the foundation for this neutral, contemporary bathroom. An extra large shower is enclosed by a glass door and features several showerheads including a rain head extending from the ceiling. A smaller tile floor in the shower is echoed by a tiny tile accent strip throughout the main floor. A large, shaded window above the bathtub adds extra privacy.
This contemporary shower stall, designed by Claire Paquin, displays a pure and clean aesthetic with its gray and white marble walls and clear glass door. Especially fetching is the black hexagon tile flooring that was set both inside and outside the shower stall, providing a strong focal point for the rest of the design. The chrome showerhead coordinates with the double towel rack located adjacent to the shower door.
High-quality materials and finishes make this master suite vanity and shower the ultimate getaway. A marble countertop and backsplash with blue-gray veining sets a luxurious palette, and subway tile with beveled edges in the shower add extra texture.
Designer Jennifer Gilmer wanted a large freestanding tub and a shower in her master bath, but lacked the room to put them side by side. A trip to Japan inspired her to combine the two in an open space — this arrangement is common there. The light-flooded modern bathroom, with black mosaic tiled floor and insets and tan subway tile walls, features a deep sink, ceiling-mounted rain shower and oval-shaped pedestal bathtub.
Black and white is a great choice for a small bathroom because these colors can serve to enlarge the space. Here, Pure Interiors Design kept the black tones to a minimum by employing it solely in the shower curtain as the focal point in the room. White tiles walls, simple fixtures and a large mirror with a beveled inset complete this pristine look.
A soft blue tint to the glass show door matches the tufted blue seat set in the open floor over a fluffy, faux fur rug. The white marble floor extends up the shower walls decorated with a tile accent panel. A large double vanity set up turns the corner opposite the bathtub. White marble countertop and built in cabinets surround the his and hers sinks under large mirrors and victorian sconces.
Black granite and Carrara marble tiles set in a grid create a stunning floor pattern in this luxurious bathroom. The Carrara marble is carried up the wall in the form of subway tile to make the large space feel intimate.
The bathroom includes a chromatherapy tub and shower, steam shower, and gorgeous granite countertops. One unique shower feature: there is an overhead screen that can be set to replicate lightning, rain, fire, or even a summer day with clouds rolling by!
