Designer Kimberly Lyons wanted to create pops of colors in the family room to vivify the neutral walls, woodwork and sofas. The dark salmon accent wall is a warm and inviting tone without overtaking the room. Surprisingly, the colors in the accent pillows on the sofas work well with it, with the area rug tying all the colors together for an overall pleasing effect.
The formality of this cozy bedroom with its Thibaut through Duralee Chang Toile covering the walls and ceiling is balanced by a fun almost tie-dye rug says designer Jena Salmon. “When you do something so traditional, I think it really needs a punch of funk on it,” says Salmon of that statement rug.
Mash up summer and spring with a combination of navy, teal and coral. Here, the solid teal-toned occasional seating is given a style boost with a Southwestern-style blanket in different shades of coral and salmon while a cool, white and navy-blue rug offers a soft underfoot surface.
In this bathroom, the different hues of pink make the space pop. The chandelier is made from pale pink milk glass, while bolder colors of pink make up the rug. The salmon colored bathtub, which is the statement piece of this space, is accented by pink floral wall curtains that tie all of these shades of pink together.
