A much-needed home office was created by revamping a dusty garage. Retro furnishings, canned lighting and Rat Pack artwork put the office into the swing of things. Check out Sammy Davis Jr. on the walls.
Kitchens are everyone’s favorite gathering spot, and this house is no different. It’s full of personality and retro chic to boot. Mint green is rapidly becoming my personal fave for kitchen applications and I really love using artwork in kitchens too. Not only do the Stansells have two Jeff Guy portraits displayed on the windowsill, they’ve layered them with pieces that their children have created. Micah and Whitney are really conscious of continuity in their home’s design: the color teal is represented again on the kitchen island and the breadbox. Besides the nostalgic range and mixer, the counters are 4x4 tiles as opposed to one solid surface and were recently restored by Micah himself.
The Wendl family lived in a humble home with an outdated retro design. The cousins, Anthony Carrino and John Colaneri updated their home with a modern, chic look while complementing their desired retro design. The family room has been redesigned to include a fun white and mint green bar.

This home captures a retro feel with all neutral furniture, an interior stone wall and a lot of wood accents. To make the space more modern steel accents have been brought in as well as clean, hard lines on the furnishings and fixtures to promote a minimalist look.
The Kitchen Cousins liked the look and color of the old kitchen cabintes in the Mai home. But the kitchen needed to pop and come alive. The Kitchen Cousins added sky blue retro looking appliances by The Big Chill to give the kitchen the edge and look that it needed. They also got rid of the old tile on the walls, and the old wallpaper on the ceiling. The kitchen is now brighter and more colorful than the original and has a hip new look.
Mod open shelving, a freestanding island and a professional-grade range turn the kitchen of this early-1900s home into a functional space for the 21st century. Butcher block countertops are functional but casual. White-painted, original cabinetry with black handles, along with the black-and-white tile floor, add to the retro-chic design.
One of the home's five bathrooms, this small space features a large mirror, two medicine cabinets, a sleek modern vanity and plenty of drawers for extra linens. The neutral-and-black tile adds a fun, retro touch to the space.
Cousins Anthony Carrino and John Colaneri updated this home with a modern, chic look while complementing the homeowner's desired retro design in this multi-colored kitchen. Contemporary cabinets in each shade of the rainbow provide updated bursts of color with a vintage feel.
To add more personality and color to the space, this kitchen's blue retro-style double ovens were installed to give the homeowner plenty of ways to prepare meals for guests. The vent-a-hood above the ovens has scalloped edges, adding personality to an ordinary kitchen appliance. The glass front cabinets allow the homeowner to display her colorful dishes, while the counter is home to unique, colorful items such as a striped utensil holder and a yellow vase.
Anthony Carrino and John Colaneri completely remodeled and updated the former home theater into a new, modern family friendly entertainment lounge for Khloe Kardashian Odom and LaMar Odom, as seen on HGTV's Cousins on Call. This lounge features its own candy bar, custom California redwood shelves and pillars, a 13-foot sofa, cinema surround sound by Pro Audio Technology and AV by Joseph Cali Systems Design, Inc. The side pillars that house the speakers and the shelves are cut from a California Redwood tree. The candy bar in the back of the lounge contains 8 different self-serve candy drawers and a Big Chill retro fridge.
