The modern canvas in shades of blue provides depth and texture, while the neutral shade of the sofa and ottoman blend with the soft tones of white and cream also found within the framed piece. Turquoise and pink accessories complete Dawdy's intriguing approach for this room.
This former foyer was converted into a family room by removing the exterior door and adding a rustic stone tiled fireplace. A teal sofa and throw draped over a pale yellow midcentury modern armchair add pops of color to the space, while a brown leather bench serves as a coffee table.
The fireplace and cabinetry were custom designed and built to match the beautiful Arts and Crafts detailing throughout the home. The owner specifically selected handmade tiles from Carreaux du Nord for the fireplace surround.
