In the master bedroom, designers played with texture to create a modern, yet cozy space. They blended hard surfaces, such as the modern headboard and nightstand, with soft textures, like the "quilted" tile accent wall, complementary bed linens and shaggy rug, to create a space that went with the rest of the home's design while bringing comfort to the master space.

To help give the space a bit of privacy, curtains were hung on a wrought iron rods and half curtains attached to the large windows.

This design embraces the size of this kitchen and the asymmetry of the built-in cabinetry by staining some of the cabinets a deep espresso color and leaving the cabinets on the primary wall (with stove and microwave) in a lighter maple. A fun touch visible in this photo is that the end of the peninsula is painted in chalkboard paint. Red accents, including a large clock, add pops of color throughout the space.
To separate the home's front entrance from the highway, designers built concrete walls to frame a small courtyard, using polygal and steel panels to create a bit of transparency on the side of the carport and as a small accent on the street side. Now, the entry circulation comes parallel to the driveway on the street side with bright red doors which match the front door and visually call visitors and clarify the entry sequence.

This was originally a small guest bedroom that was swapped with the adjoining guest bathroom to create a new and more spacious guest bathroom. Soft, pale blue floral tiles cover the walls, a suspended Lumicor panel divides the shower area from the freestanding tub and a floating, custom concrete sink provides a beautiful sink vanity area. Crystal accented lighting, plumbing fixtures and knobs add a little sparkle to the space.
Outfitting a small room in white and reflective surfaces is a common designer strategy to lend the illusion of more space. But in this tight family bath, designer Hannah Dee of Hannah Dee Interiors used a splash of soft blue tile in another clever technique: “The accent wall brings your eye to the back of the room, broadening and lengthening the space—visually—making it feel much bigger than it really is.”
The homeowners wanted a simple, elegant master bathroom that was still functional, just like the rest of their newly redesigned home, so designers created a beautiful space with a neutral color palette. White, tile floors and complementary white walls flow throughout the space reflecting the natural light let into the space from the large windows above the tub. Gray accent tiles on the floor add color and warmth to the bright space, complementing the gray countertops that finish off each vanity. Two separate vanities give each of the couple their own space, keeping the new space functional and organized.

After Chip and Joanna removed walls and opened up the kitchen space, they had room to add this large kitchen island with extra seating. To accent the gray cabinets, Joanna chose a gray and white marbled tile that provided a durable solution for the family and really made her rustic industrial design pop.
