Natural fibers, floral prints and distressed wood combine in this tropical-inspired bedroom. While the space is filled with natural light during the day, a bedside lamp with a red linen drum shade provides both light and style day and night.
Inspired by a 19th-century saloon interior near the home's Park City, Utah location, this richly-colored transitional space is ready for lounging. Rows of red drum-shade pendants visually lower the ceiling, creating a feel of intimacy. Traditional wingback chairs, a sectional sofa and upholstered ottomans provide ample seating for a crowd.
Soft neutral walls frame this eat-in kitchen with crisp white cabinets, integrated appliances (including a large wine cooler) and twin kitchen islands with ample space for prepping and cooking. Beautiful white marble top the islands, and a red drum-shaped pendant light above the dining area brings a splash of color to the design.
An oversized black and white wallpaper pattern in this contemporary living room is mimicked on the drum light. The black and white color scheme is continued on the large area rug, but a bright red ottoman breaks up the pattern and provides a powerful dose of color.
This living room combines urban themes with floral patterns and exotic accents giving the room a sense of adventure. Comfortable sofas flank wooden Craftsman-style furniture, red floral patterns, bongo drums, a black-and-white photo of the Empire State Building and a modern, multi-branched lamp.
The soft neutral color palette and comfortable furnishings in this living room create a relaxing lounge area to entertain guests. Chocolate brown leather lounge chairs, the drum table and the red and black chest introduce warmer color design elements to anchor the pale space.
This loft-style living room features an exposed brick wall adorned with a black and white canvas and a red accent wall with a mounted flatscreen TV. A drum shade chandelier hangs above a sleek glass coffee table, a black and white shag rug and a pair of trendy gold ottomans.
In Chris' bedroom, a mix of high and low created his designer bed ensemble. A custom bed upholstered in automotive vinyl was the area's biggest purchase; however, deceptively budget-friendly purchases were made for the remainder of the space. The demilune-shaped chests came from ZGallerie for $600 each, and not only do they add an elegant touch, they offer concealed storage. Table lamps atop the chests were found at a flea market and updated with red paint and new metallic drum shades. While Ralph Lauren bedding in a classic paisley print was a splurge, custom pillows made from $6.99 per yard IKEA tartan fabric kept the budget in check. To allow Chris to easily change up the looks of his bedding, the backs of each pillow were covered in a nautical print from Duralee.
