Parquet flooring and a dramatic, tiled faux water feature add interest to this traditional home's second-level main entry. Neutral colors dominate the light-filled space, allowing visual interest to come from architectural detail, use of texture and strategically placed pops of color. To create the "water" feature on the accent wall, the design team installed soft aqua quatrefoil tile behind a textured acrylic panel, using directional lighting to give it a waterfall effect.
