Exposed brick and hardwood flooring provide a traditional foundation in this row house's open living space. A mix of contemporary furniture and primitive country furnishings gives this inviting area an updated, transitional look that flows seamlessly between the sitting area and dining room.
Susan Brunstrum designed her client's second home in Park City, Utah employing a "Mountain Modern," theme, which contemporizes the natural look of rustic furnishings for today's lifestyle. For this great room, the designer added contemporary furniture to contrast with the more primitive resonance of the stone fireplace and dark woodwork. The color palette of the room is soft and subdued, which plays nicely against the room's more masculine elements.
