The open space surrounding this glass dining table brings a spacious feel to the small set up. An animal hide rug adds personality and texture to the smooth, stylish look of the table setting. Hot pink napkins and a centerpiece of orchids add a lovely pop of color. A wet bar with stainless steel seating is just within reach.
This eclectic bedroom features a white upholstered bed with a tufted headboard and a gray and white wallpaper accent wall. A brass chest and faux fur rug sit at the foot of the bed, while gold oval mirrors are positioned on either side. Pink pillows add a pop of color and black hardwood floors provide a finishing touch.
Instead of a refrigerator plastered with magnets and notes, this loft kitchen features a chalkboard wall where people can leave reminders, notes or fun pictures. A gray metal rolling island, light fixture and stools add to the industrial feel of the space, while yellow zigzag wallpaper and a pink and red star runner add pops of color and texture.
A textured comforter, velvet headboard and draped canopy create a beautiful mix of soft texture for this bed decor. A chandelier with hanging crystal adds a soft glow over the calm, neutral tones of the design. Bright pink flowers add a fresh pop of color to catch the eye around the room.
A nature-inspired combination of cream, light olive, ice blue and pink produces a lovely and inviting living room. The ornate picture frame is the room's focal point and brings a touch of old-world charm to the space. The black lampshade and side chair provide a "pop" of strong color against the light blue walls and soft colors of the room.
“What I love about the living room is we have a neutral sofa and deep blue chairs so I could play with the color palette by layering different blues in,” says interior designer Brian Patrick Flynn. “But to make the blue not too masculine we brought in pops of really pale pink and it makes the whole space totally grounded.”
Designer Claire Paquin continued her beautiful design for this home with the hall bathroom in shades of cream and white and adding hot pink as a pop of color. The walls were painted a soft shade of beige that harmonizes well with the white wall tile, vanity and woodwork. The same shade was employed for the Roman shade she installed for privacy.
The handmade bedspread brings a soft pattern and texture to this bedroom. A unique rock light fixture hangs above the bed, which is decorated with a wood breakfast tray and patterned throw pillows. A wood chair with a hot pink pillow adds a bright pop of color against the neutral and white tones. Fresh flowers and sheer curtains complete the look.
No party decor is complete without fresh-cut flowers. For this look, choose dual-toned ranunculus and pink peonies, place them in painted tin cans and bud vases. Spray each can in two colors using painter's tape. Cobalt bud vases with single stems pop wonderfully against the black-and-white striped.
The white walls are extended from the common areas into the bedrooms and private spaces. To add pops of color, though, this bed is clad in pink and navy geometric bed linens. At the foot of the bed, a distressed, zebra print bench provides extra seating and a little bit of fun, while a sliding door separates this bedroom from the rest of the house.
The open, uncluttered set up of this bedroom brings an industrial, modern influence to the contemporary design. The polished floor reflects the natural light from the pair of windows as well as the light fixture within the three-blade ceiling fan. A quilted gray bed comforter matches the flooring and is accented with a faux fur pillow. Abstract art gives a pop of vibrant red and pink color.
Deep blue trim frames this bright and stylish girl's bedroom as well as matches the built in shelf unit covering one wall. A raspberry pink stripe on the ceiling, upholstered desk bench, throw pillow and small decorative details create a beautiful pop of accent color throughout the room. The gray carpet and chair keeps the room looking light without using a monochromatic white palette.
A white Buddha statue, among other Asian accents used throughout the space, introduces a Zen mood to this porch sitting area. Beautiful white furniture and sheer white curtains look even brighter against the natural background and neutral floor. Throw pillows add pops of accent color in red, purple and pink, while the pair of metallic tables adds a touch of glam to the design.
For a unique spin on the typical gallery wall, Jeanine and Bryan chose to showcase some unexpected pieces of art on the wall in their bedroom. Colorful baskets, handmade in Rwanda, add a powerful color story to the bedroom, and the shades of hot pink and yellow literally pop off of the moody black wall.
Because the backdrop and furnishings of this New York City living room are styled in soft, monochromatic hues, designer Kathie Chrisicos was able to infuse pops of strong color in the art and accessory selections. Especially fetching is the abstract art behind the sofa in an orange-red hue, along with the vase of orange, yellow and pink roses that enlivens the coffee table. These colors add depth and drama to the design.
A light, natural wood accent wall adds subtle and effective texture against the light turquoise walls and white crown molding. The pale turquoise is repeated on the bench at the foot of the bed and a final touch on the smallest throw pillow. Salmon pink bed covers add a bright pop of color with a dainty, matching pattern on the curtains. A feminine white bed frame is a perfect fit for the design.
This sitting area uses natural beauty to enhance the colors in this space. The tree by the French doors brings a vibrant green into the space, while the yellow flowers add a pop of color to the middle of the room. The natural green and yellow of the plants blend well with the pink sofa and the yellow couch cushions. To tie the space together, a multicolor rug rests under the coffee table.
The couple’s home features a number of built-ins, including shelving for a reading nook in the living area. The shelves are home to the couple’s collection of favorite reads. Floating shelves were installed in the nook to display art and special reads that both Camille and Joe find inspiring. The nook also features a pop of color with a pink Martini Side Table from West Elm.
