Choosing colors for your outdoor living room can be intimidating. Make it easier on yourself by taking cues from outdoor focal points. The dominant blue-gray used for the upholstery and flooring in the covered area were chosen to pick up on the blue tones of the swimming pool.
A large outdoor dining table accommodates ten, with two wrought iron chandeliers illuminating the space. The partially covered area allows for outdoor entertaining even when the weather gets bad. Guests have the luxury to take a dip in the pool before or after dinner.
The palette for the house was inspired by the backyard pool which is visible from the front door as you enter the home. We used a subtle shade of blue on the ceiling to connect the kitchen/breakfast/family room area to establish continuity between the interior and the outdoors. The white walls and cabinetry are perfect backdrops for the lush green views outside the kitchen windows and the geometric upholstery that brings our blue theme down to eye level.
The swimming pool, with a built-in spa, is surrounded by beautiful greenery. When guests get tired of swimming, they can relax on comfortable lounge chairs that face rolling hills. The shadows cast by these chairs loom large on the well-kept grassy area.
This relaxing area by the pool features ample seating and a fireplace perfectly suited for entertaining guests or lounging on the weekends. The custom made navy cushions are specifically designed to pull out the blue of the tiles in the nearby pool.
Fabulously decadent poolside bar creates perfect venue for outside entertaining. Featuring underwater stools, wall mounted television, two hanging chandeliers, tile back splash and naturalistic elements this area is sure to be a splash!
