Inspired by art depicting a yellow diving board set above blue pool water, designer Gregg De Meza created a whimsical bathroom for the young boy at the San Francisco Decorator Showcase 2015. Street artist Jeremy Novy created the bright yellow no diving symbol, while a floating blue vanity and pooling mosaic tile on the floor invoke a sense of pool water.
This natural rock retaining wall not only adds texture surrounding the swimming poll, but it doubles as a support for a built in waterfall featuring flowing into the body of the pool. Mosaic tile in the water catches the light for a touch of shining color.
This spacious patio features neutral Terrazzo tiles that lead the way to a relaxing pool and hot tub area. Blue stucco covers the home exterior, while a covered sitting area with a brown wicker furniture set offers a comfortable place for kicking back and enjoying the shade.
This striking indoor pool is fit for the Roman gods, complete with blue mosaic tile and round columns. Stairs descend on both sides of a raised hot tub, conveniently incorporated into the pool's design.
A swimming pool serves as both a recreational feature and a stunning visual element in this private backyard oasis that accents the architectural design (notice the double mosaic tile walls at the far end of the pool).
The raised hot tub features a double-step spillway and a custom fire element crafted with a copper bowl and channels. Mosaic tile and stone columns add color and texture to the shimmering blue pool below.
Hints of blue are sprinkled throughout this outdoor area: as a tile backsplash for the pool, different patterned pillows, in ceramic form as a large planter. The color and varied textures are a welcome note of dimension in the outdoor space.
Multicolored mosaic tile and fountains turn this swimming pool into an outdoor retreat. The pool house uses similar exterior elements as the main house, tying the architecture of the structures together.
