An entertainment pavilion reflects the midcentury architecture of a Sarasota, Fla., home. The pool patio was transformed with the addition of the pavilion with an extended wall that incorporates built-in dining benches designed to match the home's modern architecture. The project by DWY Landscape Architects was a Florida chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects award winner.
The backyard pool has its own poolhouse and spacious patio. The patio is meant for smaller gatherings and includes a fireplace and a tv. The poolhouse keeps guests and residents comfortable with a shower and bathroom.
This rustic farmhouse pool was placed in a more functional and aesthetically appropriate location, and raised twelve feet to maintain the sequential experience throughout the property. Built-in planters and potted arrangements were added as a buffer to soften the elevated height difference.
An outdoor oasis that complements the natural beauty of Hawaii is a challenge in itself. With a 360-degree wet-edge perimeter, 40-feet vanishing edge, underwater speakers and smart landscape lighting, this pool is a great place to gather in the day or night.
For an outdoor space that's perfect for entertaining, comfortable furniture sits under an open pavilion to relax. Soft gray stones surround the curved swimming pool, while trees provide privacy to the entire backyard.
An open pavilion houses a comfortable outdoor living space complete with stacked stone fireplace and flatscreen TV. The contemporary pool and hot tub is surrounded by a travertine patio and palm trees.
One of the house's main outdoor entertaining areas is the elegant swimming pool and spa. An open pavilion provides an outdoor dining area, while sleek pool chairs are the perfect spot to relax. Travertine stone is used around the pool to reflect the materials of the main house.
Through the main parlor the grounds open up into an amazing vista dominated by the pool at its center. Vestiges of the former olive grove are still in evidence as trees ring the lounge areas around the pool. At the far end of the pool is a lounge area - complete with jacuzzi - that is perfect for afternoons spent sipping mint tea.
