Pink is overhead and underfoot in this vibrant teen bedroom. Extra-wide Roman shades span several windows to provide a strong neutral focal point. Polka dot pillows, layered bedding and pom-pom throws top the twin platform beds.
The high ceiling in this master bedroom opens up the room for a bright, modern look. The cream platform bed with a tufted headboard is dressed with metallic gray bedding and red accent pillows. A charcoal gray chair looks toward the glass door that leads out onto the patio.
Dark walls and floors contrast with a white platform bed in this eclectic bedroom. The modular bed incorporates a small end table with just enough room for a classic desk lamp. A ruched bedspread and bohemian rug soften the look.
The focal point of this peaceful bedroom is the custom-designed cherry wood platform bed, along with matching floating nightstands and a wall-to-wall dresser. A carved wooden armchair with a plaid cushion and red pillow sits in the corner, while a wooden Zen sculpture is featured on top of the dresser.
Used above the headboard, a simple branch wall decal adds a whimsical touch to this serene bedroom. The clean lines of the platform bed are complemented by the floating wooden shelves that double as nightstands. Matching bedside lamps and white bed linens keep the design light and fresh.
The master suite project involved moving walls for a closet expansion, a bathroom gut job, and removing all traces of the dark, dated furnishings that closed in the space. We used a neutral base palette with soft blue touches and layered in heirloom-quality textiles, elegant lighting, and lots of texture. The tufted platform bed and traditional fireplace serve as anchors in the room, which manages to be both spacious and cozy.
This neutral leather platform bed features a sleek wooden headboard with a built-in floating bedside table. A black glass lamp and fresh pink flowers are positioned atop the table, while textured wallpaper finishes off the look of the space.
Pale wood dominates this contemporary bedroom from the light hardwood floor and platform bed to the blinds and bedside table. A piece of abstract artwork above the bed injects some color into the space.

The client already had these walls painted pale blue when designer Robin Callan took over the design. "Light blues can sometimes feel very nursery-like," Robin says, "so I wanted to bring in some darker colors to make sure the room felt like a mature space. When I found the pillows on the bed, they inspired the rest of the palette." The plantation shutters and navy curtains add an extra grown-up punch.
