As seen on Love It Or List It, Too, the old piano room was never used so it became the family room with coffered ceilings adjacent to the newly installed fireplace. Jillian brought in a custom made sectional sofa, a wrought iron wall hanging from Egypt and traditional Italian hunting prints to give the family the Tuscan inspired feel they were looking for.
This music room features a blue, coffered ceiling as well as abundant windows, both up high and at eye level, to provide ample natural light for music practic. On darker days, a funky chandelier works with recessed lighting to provide illumination. Framed album covers are used as decoration on the walls. Green armchairs, a piano and a drum kit help fill the remaining space.
The expansive light wood fireplace surround in this living room provides the perfect backdrop for a room with mixed patterns and high ceilings. Antlers above the fireplace add to the room's rustic feel; the piano just to the side creates a feel of homeyness. The comfortable sofa with flokati pillows is a perfect spot for whiling away a winter day with a great book.
This room housed a piano and was rarely being used when we began this project. Due to the growing collection of wine, we were inspired to turn this into the ultimate wine tasting room. We designed a custom wine storage tasting island with waterfall sides, figured walnut bottle storage and bar service stations, painted the walls a deeper shade of gray for a more intimate atmosphere and completed it with a caviar style pendant.
This neutral living space has plenty of seating for the homeowners to entertain family and friends. Reminiscent of a Romantic Era parlor, a grand piano occupies the rear corner of the room, creating an elegant ambiance, while large chaise lounges and comfortable modern chairs add seating for guests and homeowners alike. Finally, accents like the white and gray striped rug and the Asian inspired decor helps to finish the room and bring the design full circle.
