To replace the red-tinted trim of an outdated bedroom, a light cream color was chosen to give the bedroom a softer feel. From there, the rest of the redesign was a piece of cake, resulting in the warm, stylish bedroom the homeowners had hoped for.
The stairway pendant in the design studio was designed by Andrea Michaelson and was made using reclaimed factory coils with a vintage-style exposed bulb. The contemporary aesthetic with touches of industrial style was used throughout the entire space on everything from fixtures to furnishings.
Joanna Gaines added a new globe chandelier in the kitchen. She opted to retain the original leaded-glass windows as she feels that period-authentic features like those help to "tell the story" of the house.
