The concept for this design was to connect the indoors with the outdoors. The terraced outdoor space includes two fire pits, geometric planters that add natural color, a bocce ball court and a sports court for playing tennis or basketball. A rooftop garden offers additional seating and an incredible ocean view.
Designed in conjunction with architect Richard LeGros, this Shell Beach home aimed to tie the clients’ contemporary style with a beach getaway feel. Jeffrey Gordon Smith's intent was to find poetry in the project by playing off the architecture of the main house and push the indoor-outdoor concept.
Clean, horizontal lines and inviting modern furniture characterize this zen patio and garden space. A lighted accent wall draws attention to the water feature, which is nestled into a rock garden with neat rows of succulents. Colorful cushions and pillows brighten the space and give the seating and dining areas a cheerful vibe.
