Rich woods, paper lantern chandelier, bamboo plants and exotic artifacts root this dining space in Asian design. A distressed red credenza adds a bold pop of color along with an adjacent bright red vase.
Coco Loco wallpaper from Flavor Paper brings vibrant color and movement to this bar and sitting area. The wild paper is balanced out by subtle, clean-lined pieces like the Eames armchairs and the contemporary chandeliers.
An ornate sage green chandelier with exposed bulbs hangs in a green and white bedroom with floral patterned wall paper and large roman shades. A day bed works in the small bedroom and provides storage along with the green glass-front bookcase.
Hang stars from a chandelier for an easy way to sparkle up the holidays. Keep things interesting by using a variety of sizes and adding at least one patterned paper to mix with a few solid colors. Use a thin metal wire or ribbon to attach the ornaments to the chandelier, making sure to vary the length to make the arrangement more pleasing to the eye.
To create this party-ready centerpiece and table, Wendy Hyde of The Shabby Nest first layered kraft paper over a neutral tablecloth and topped it with a black-and-white patterned table runner. "Balloons were tied to chandelier crystals to weigh them down and keep their place on the table," she says. "Pretty mercury-glass votives were placed between the balloons to add ambient lighting." For a personalized touch, each balloon was embellished with photographs, in this case, pictures of the anniversary couple.
