For extra storage, a toiletry and magazine rack was made from a reclaimed shipping pallet. To create the rack, a measuring tape was used to determine the proper width of the wall, then the pallet was dismantled with a crowbar, cut to size and mitered using a chop saw, then reconfigured and attached using the original nails. Black steel pipe is mounted to the bottom to keep towels neatly hung.
Designer Meg Caswell recycles a wood pallet as a unique photo display hanging over the tan sofa. The light blue walls and matching patterned pillows, along with the unique coffee table create a contemporary meets traditional style.
With the last available space in her apartment, Marcella Lentz-Pope created what she calls, "The Leftover Room". Brick walls accent the space and a pallet bed sits on the floor surrounded by curated accessories.
This fashionable bathroom combines elements of patterns and colors for a perfect contemporary vibe. Black and white is the main color pallet but the blue accent is what really completes the design. The patterned wall sconces bring out the patterned wall paper while the glass vase accents give the finishing touches to the counter by adding height.
This design plays with dark, moody colors and lots of texture. The look is kept simple by keeping the pallet neutral with just a pop of color in the red carpet. A sculptural gold mirror over the bed adds a dash of drama and acts as a sort of foal point in the room. Graphic wallpaper resembles dripping paint creating a beautiful accent wall behind the bed and nightstands and leaves the window wall looking bright and fresh.
