The bright, sunshine yellow of the remodeled Tudor kitchen is carried through to the dining room that is directly adjacent to it. To make the space more open, designer removed the wall separating the two spaces, creating a clear line of sight from one space into another. As a nod to the historic home's Tudor style, designers kept the exposed beams on the ceiling of the dining room, and brought in dark wood furniture to complete the design.
English Rose 'The Pilgrim' Climbing covers a north wall with large, shallowly cupped, rosette-shaped flowers. The yellow color pales towards the edges of the blooms, giving a charming softness that is rare among yellow roses. The delicious medium to strong fragrance is a mix of Tea rose and the classic English Rose myrrh scent. It is very healthy and reliable, growing to 4 ft tall by 3 ft wide as a shrub or 8-10 ft as a climber. RHS "Award of Garden Merit." (David Austin 1987, Auswalker).
