Using gray as the main color of this nursery allowed designers at StudioHue to ramp up the furnishings and embellishments in the room. The colorful geometric shapes painted on the wall, the white scalloped mobile and the unusually shaped crib all give the baby's room an air of playfulness and curiosity.
StudioHue chose to apply a neutral background color--gray--to this little girl's nursery so that the room could be easily changed as she grows. The designers added highlight colors, shapes and fabrics to add interest, such as the white scalloped mobile over an oval crib, geometric shapes painted on the wall and a soft fur area rug atop the carpet.
In this neutral nursery, a vintage dresser does double duty as a changing table for now but can later return to its original function when the child is older. Above it, a dark-framed oval mirror echoes the style of the crib and the classic hardware on the dresser drawers.
