Designers wanted to bring the outdoors in, so they covered the home's half bathroom with wallpaper that would simulate forest trees. Then, they added a rich, wood vanity and shelf made from local trees and a funky vessel sink. Finally, the design was finished off with a chandelier to give the room an elegant touch.
Large-format, low-maintenance natural slate and attractive, easy-care landscaping blend the low-profile home with its ocean-front setting. Eclipse doors provide easy access from the great room to the exterior seating area, blending inside and out. A natural gas barbecue area with plumbed-in sink is ideal for outdoor cooking. Exterior speakers enhance the ambience.
This eclectic kitchen boasts cabinetry in pure white and black. A black kitchen island is paired with vivid orange chairs complemented by unusual, glossy orange pendant lights. The large window over the sink provides a beautiful view of outdoor greenery, which is echoed by the forest green subway wall tiles in this thoroughly modern, and unforgettable, kitchen space.
As you enter this Washington home, you can feel the fluidity of the entire space-from outdoors all the way in. The seamless window above the kitchen sink allows outward onlooker a small peek of the simple elegance that exists inside. The door that opens into the dining area gives a clear vies of the entire open plan first floor, making the whole space, even from the outside, feel connected.
This cozy courtyard combines fairy tale charm with first-class function. Says the design team, "every detail is finely crafted and proportionally scaled to welcome a robust party or intimate gathering." An outdoor kitchen features a grill, sink and refrigerator, as well as cabinetry for storage and ample countertop space for prep work. Multiple seating areas create cozy gathering spots throughout the courtyard, while lights strung above add festive ambiance.
The Graham residence after the kitchen renovation by licensed contractor Chip Wade. As part of the renovation, Chip Wade added a garage door to allow for indoor and outdoor entertaining and tons of natural light. His design also included a custom concrete table weighing over two thousand pounds. The table also housed the cooktop and sink without exposing the working parts under the table, making for a clean look. With the addition of a garage door, a custom table and all new appliances, the kitchen area is now perfect for entertaining large groups, as seen on HGTV's Elbow Room.
These homeowners were very interested in bringing their love for the natural beauty of the outdoors inside and mixing it with the modern design style they already love. This photo shows that they succeeded. The large window overlooking the sink brings in plenty of natural light, allowing nature into the space. The live edge wood shelving shows the raw beauty of nature, while the colors on the wall and the backsplash are earthy shades of green, yellow and gray. These natural elements blend perfectly with the clean lines of the countertop and the modern pendant light, bringing the couple's ideas of an eco modern design to life.
