Subtle shifts in the geometry of this modern building maximize natural light and views to the sky, expanding the perception of space and openness while maintaining the small footprint. As the walls splay out from the base of the building toward the roof, the resulting void is a central light well.
This modern style kitchen has the best of both worlds: stylish and functional. The beautiful hardwood floors are accented by lighter colors on the walls and furniture, giving it a luxurious, but still light and feeling, while the eat in kitchen and double ovens give this space the extra functionality it needs to be a practical entertaining space.
The refrigerator was tucked out of view from the living room, and the oven was pushed to the far end to allow as much continuous counter space as possible. A contrasting finish for the island cabinets were chosen to be more furniture-like. New doors lead out to the backyard’s screened-in porch.
