Fixer Upper hosts Chip and Joanna Gaines transformed a depressing room into a bright and festive nursery for the Purks' baby on the way. The old French Doors were removed to create a solid wall for a crib or bed placed against. The old wall paneling was removed and replaced with light blue painted drywall with white trim. Soft carpeting will be perfect for a child's room and metal crates hang on the wall and serve as storage for stuffed animals. A comfortable side chair is an inviting place to sit with the baby, and a crystal chandelier was removed from the original dining room and installed here in the nursery.
Although the client had envisioned a pink, girly nursery, the final result is a glamorous gray space with pink accents that really stand out. A crystal chandelier and nailhead trim around the top of the wall help add a sense of refinement to the room.

StudioHue designed this contemporary nursery to grow with the child, but for now a sitting area with a comfortable midcentury modern chair and ottoman have been placed in the room for parent and baby's needs. A custom-designed drop ceiling with sophisticated chandelier defines the contemporary dining room with sleek wooden table and streamlined black chairs. The open floor plan combines the dining room with the kitchen and on to a music room with a baby grand piano.
Five baby blue dining chairs and a brown leather bench ensure that there's room for everyone at this table. Meanwhile, floor-to-ceiling windows and a vintage pendant fill the space with light and make it look even more inviting.
Rich fabrics make a striking juxtaposition with the smooth sheen of the black baby grand piano in this traditional living room. A red and gold brocade chair sits at the ready for the next musician, and on the wall hangs a tapestry.
