Exquisite architectural details shine in this open and airy traditional kitchen with tray ceilings. the home’s original kitchen and baths were modernized, but not updated enough to meet the new homeowner’s needs. This captivating kitchen is the centerpiece of the home’s extensive renovation project.
The consistent, black surfaces of the countertops added depth and dimension to this loft, helping create the illusion of a larger space. Bronze and copper fixtures were selected by Ami Austin, interior designer, for a rustic, yet elegant tone. A long-tile backsplash was designed to protect the wooden walls near the kitchen sink as well as to create a sense of harmonizing style.
This bathroom gets more of a vintage feel with pedestal sinks and wood walls. It is tucked into the upper level of a farmhouse and was designed by Michelle Fries. She made up for the lost under-sink storage by using open shelving with baskets to hold supplies.
