To create a bright, bold dining room for this twenty-something Nashville musician, designers added vintage details to the table in the brightly colored glass and vintage silver. To make the design pop, gold accents were added in the chandelier above the table and the flatware. A bold pink chevron pattern was added to the chairs to make the table a bit more funky, and the walls were covered with Deer Damask wallpaper. Then, vintage furniture was added to the space, along with modern art to give the space a collected feeling.
As a result of flood damage caused by Hurricane Sandy, Anthony Carrino and John Colaneri from HGTV's "Cousins On Call" rebuilt the Miller family's living room. With new modern furniture from West Elm, the contemporary living area became a cozy and inviting space.
As seen on HGTV's Love It or List It Too, the greatest discontent for Holly and Chester's home was the number of 'dysfunctional' spaces and long list of outdated fixtures and appliances. Designer Jillian Harris created a more open space by ripping out the wall that divided the kitchen and living space as Holly wanted to be able to see their baby in the living room while she was in the kitchen. Harris put in a large island with white quartz countertops, and lots of new storage. Pot lights were inserted, hardwood floors were put down. The room has all new furniture. A new insert and limestone tile was added to the fireplace. All coverings for the windows are new.

With new modern furniture from West Elm, and ABC Carpet and Home and a newly designed fireplace that sits below an HD projector screen, this room has become hip, modern and high tech.
Add a tablecloth and centerpiece to your breakfast area. Seattle firm Judith Wright Design dressed up the homeowner’s original table with a tablecloth and florals to coordinate with the cushions she put on banquette in this 2016 National Kitchen + Bath Association winner. Acrylic chairs add glam (often, new acrylic furniture is affordable) without hindering the view of the banquette.
Hezekiyah and Nyahsa wanted a mature space to entertain friends, so Drew and Jonathan from HGTV's hit show Buying and Selling designed a contemporary space for the couple. By lightening up the wall shade, they were able to brighten the space, making it seem larger. Then, they brought in new, modern furniture that provides plenty of seating for a small gathering. The modern end table and lamp help to brighten up the space as the metallic water bar at the end of the space reflects light back into the rest of the room. Pillows and artwork adorn the space to add splashes of color.
Take a close look at this toe kick. An arched design makes the vanity look furniture-esque, which allowed Austin Lineberry of New River Building Co. to tighten the width and reduce the cost of the vanity and countertop.
Patience and timing can pay off when trying to redo a kitchen and also stick to a budget. Elizabeth Lineberry with New River Building Co. in metro Atlanta found round glass pendants priced at two for $289, with 20 percent off at a modern home decor and furniture store. The simple glass fixtures add subtle visual curves and don’t obscure the shiplap walls and rustic wood vent hood.
