Light-colored hardwood floors ground the space and combined with soft yellow walls and neutral tiles keep the space bright. Spanish-inspired tiles add a burst of earth-toned color.
The homeowners wanted a simple, elegant master bathroom that was still functional, just like the rest of their newly redesigned home, so designers created a beautiful space with a neutral color palette. White, tile floors and complementary white walls flow throughout the space reflecting the natural light let into the space from the large windows above the tub. Gray accent tiles on the floor add color and warmth to the bright space, complementing the gray countertops that finish off each vanity. Two separate vanities give each of the couple their own space, keeping the new space functional and organized.
This small but bright and inviting spot, featuring a simple desk with built-in shelving above, is a perfect home office for a busy mom as well as a great homework room for the kids. The homeowners wanted an entry space that really greeted its guests. Designers created a bold accent wall using textures wood paper, and then added layers on top of it. Then, they brought in a console table and black leather stools for charm and a gallery wall of geometric prints add a touch of whimsy to the space, while a skylight lets in natural light, maintaining a clean, bright look.
A small breakfast bar provides a spot for eating in this grand, remodeled kitchen. White cabinets and soft gray walls complement the warm wood floors to make the kitchen feel spacious and clean without being sterile. Combining the Carrara Marble subway tiles with the light gray grout gives the marble an aged, but beautiful appearance.
On the opposite side of the playroom, another set of original wood doors opens to reveal a sitting room that is swathed in the same bold teal as the playroom. In this space, a window provides natural light, while brightly colored pillows add splashes of color, and unique details, such as the fur rug and cattle skull on the wall create a stylish, eclectic space.
As seen on HGTV's Fixer Upper, Chip and Jo turned a once disastrous room into a bright, clean kitchen with new cabinets, wood floors, Carrera marble countertops and light gray paint with white trim. The wall that once separated the kitchen and dining room was removed, creating an open space.
Light blue-gray walls are an airy backdrop to the saturated, rich tones of the dining set up. Exposed beams compliment the table finish and hardwood floor peaking out from under the area rug. Black metal letters spell out "Home" on the wall for a comforting and decorative finish.
This kitchen features a blend of white and brown wood cabinets with a subway tile backsplash and neutral countertop. The focal point of this hallway collection is the antique dresser and jewelry box that are displayed prominently in the center of the wall. To accent the rich tones of the dresser's dark wood, the light wood of the floor and the frames of the art collection play off of the highlights in the dresser. The traditional oriental rug, then, reflects the bold colors inside the jewelry box, tying the entire space together. A glass wall follows the stairs to the second story, allowing this collection to be appreciated from any vantage point.
Fixer Upper hosts Chip and Joanna Gaines removed the wall between the homeowners' kitchen and dining room and they installed a natural wood support beam in it's place. The modern living room of this guest house is reminiscent of a beach locale, with its relaxed furnishings, rugged tables and natural fiber rugs. To incorporate the modern, industrial design of the space, metal light fixtures were added to maintain the integrity of the design while helping to light the room. A sliding barn door cleverly conceals the entertainment center when it's not in use, and a Nano door opens poolside to open onto the patio where polished concrete floors continue out into the pool area help to make the seamless transition from indoor to outdoor.
This eat in chef's kitchen is every cook's dream. The elegant wood of the cabinets blends perfectly with the rich exposed beams in the ceiling that help to give the space the Moroccan inspired look the homeowners desired. To complement the wood, designers chose a natural colored tile for the kitchen's backsplash and a complementary travertine tile for the floors. Not only is this kitchen beautiful, though, it is also functional. A large kitchen island with a huge prep sink adds plenty of counter space for food preparation and serving, while gourmet appliances make cooking easy-whether it's for ten people or a hundred.

In the dining room, exposed beams and brick create a rustic design that is carried out through the dining room. An elegant farmhouse table with bench seating creates a rustic feel, while the unique chandelier focuses the eye to the table. Don’t be afraid of placing furniture in front of window. If it’s not a bulky piece, and has an open bottom like this wheeled side table, it’ll work because natural light will still be able to flow into the room. The open cog-wheel on set of lamps also allow daylight to shine through. The beefy wood-plank dining table and bench work perfectly with the industrial side table and sisal rug.
