The exterior of this beautiful, home is complete with neutral, stucco walls and a terra cotta shingled roof. Landscape designers included a mix of palm trees and other exotic plants to complete the couple's desire for a Moroccan inspired home that reminds them of their travels in the region.
The interior of the home proves to be just as interesting as the exterior, with large archways and light fixtures that feel like they're right out of Morocco. Colorful tile lines the stairs and draws the eye to the second level.
The furniture piece in the center of the kitchen replaced the old island — it looks like an antique even though it was custom-built for this kitchen. The tiled backsplash has a unique design that feels distinctly Moroccan.
Stepping through those double doors transports the owners to Morocco. Here, a hand-stenciled ceiling, swinging bed and tiled fireplace easily evoke thoughts of a bazaar or palace, while plush pillows and throws invite the owners to revel in that life of luxury.
The designers used the client's love for color as the vehicle for this vibrant reading nook design. With an artistic touch, the designers were able to create a playful ambiance with the lighting and glitter painted walls.
This elegant, Moroccan inspired kitchen mixes rich woods with exquisite metalwork and soft fabrics. The kitchen table is made of fine, polished wood, while the chairs have wood backs with metal legs that complement the unique, metal chandelier that hangs above. To finish the design, soft curtains help to block light and add privacy, but they can be raised and lowered simply. All of these elements combine to create the perfect ambiance for this couple's home.
To bring the Moroccan inspired decor to the couple's four seasons porch, designers blended rich fabrics and textures. The ceilings are covered in a rich, stained wood that complements the other furniture in the space. Thick cushions add a luxurious, Moroccan feel to the space, while bold, blue accent pillows bring warmth into the space. In the rear of the room, a small, distressed hookah bar adds character and charm to the design while complementing the blue and cream patterned light fixture hanging from the ceiling. To complete the design, light, airy curtains adorn the windows tying the space together.
The master bathroom has everything the owners could ever need: a vanity with his-and-her sinks, a stall shower and even a soaking tub in the corner. If you look in the mirrors, you can even see the bowls from the clients' trip to Morocco -- the same trip that inspired the overall design.
An oversized area rug in blue warms the outdoor sitting room, making the space feel calm and comfortable for year-round entertaining. Gold accents, patterned pillows and potted plants evoke thoughts of a chic, Moroccan bizarre.
