Natural materials and walls of glass give this rustic living room the feeling of an outdoor space. A stacked-stone fireplace extends to the high, beamed ceiling, evoking an open, airy feel. Ample seating creates a cozy conversation area, and bunching tables have a sinuous design that reflects the nature scene outdoors.
A rich mix of materials and textures adds interest and depth to this white, light-filled kitchen. Dark gray cabinetry is topped by wood around the perimeter of the room, while a large center island sports a countertop of sleek white quartz. Leather barstools and rough-hewn open shelves bring in an eclectic, homey vibe.
Designers wanted to create a bright, open look in this kitchen, so they brought in white cabinets grounded by gray countertops. For a pop of color, they decided to paint the island a light gray color. Then, they added a Neolith marble countertop to the island which, along with black matte fixtures and an apron front sink, combines the farmhouse feel with the industrial touch.
A window seat built into a niched wall offers a bright and cozy place to read. The wood detail adds a rustic counterpoint to the bedroom's modern aesthetic. Simple furnishings and minimal decor complete the fresh design.
As seen on HGTV's Rocky Mountain Reno, Trists' design has expertly combined the natural aspect of the cabin with the modern aspects that the couple desires. In the living room, the rustic design is brought to life with the wood wall, exposed wood beams, the original wood burning stove for extra warmth and decor such as the antlers on the wall and the wood candlestick holder. She brings the modern into the design with the window treatments and the rug. The natural blue color on the wall and the curtains adds a pop of color to the space.
A low-slung sectional anchors this cozy living room on a soft, woven rug. Large windows with transoms offer beautiful scenic views, while the room's rustic wood accents and earthy color palette bring the outdoors in.
Warm, natural cabinetry on the floating vanity ties to the natural wood beams and trim in the master bathroom of this modern-rustic mountain home. A freestanding tub is situated to take advantage of the sweeping views, while a glass-enclosed shower keeps the space open and airy.
This gorgeous kitchen has major wow-appeal. A stunning graphic backsplash in colorful stripes draws the eye instantly across the space. And it is hard not to fall instantly in love with the cheery lemon yellow stove and the cool chevron stripes painted on the floor.
Industrial lights are becoming more popular in styles and designs, which is bringing down the price point for new fixtures. “If you use authentic industrial lighting, it was meant to hang in factory. So you can find an old vintage light a lot of time and get it for a good deal,” says Stephanie Andrews, a designer for an Atlanta-based company, Balance Design.
