This elegant entryway is set in an old world style complete with embellished antique maps cover the walls of this elegant entryway. A hand-carved console table paired with an antique gold mirror and ebony buffet lamps create a luxurious entry table. A mirrored star, flowers, old books and photos accessorize the table for a polished look.
Textured purple wallpaper adds depth to the space, while the upholstered headboard practically beckons you to try out the bed. "Love the wallpaper, love the purple, love the texture," said HGTV Star host David Bromstad.
This bathroom stared out with a huge roman raised tub, orange floral wallpaper, and a dark enclosed shower. We removed the tub surround and added a free standing tub, We softened the space by adding floor to ceiling drapery behind the tub. This created privacy as well as some softness to all of the tile and hard surfaces in this room. The walls got a textured wallpaper that added some subtle color and another texture to the space. The shower was a complete overhaul and got a new window, brand new tile and a frosted glass panel for some privacy while still keeping the overall feeling open and light. The cabinets got a paint job and added casing around the mirrors to create more of a custom feel.
A collection of mirrors hung gallery style, above the overstuffed sofa, is the perfect alternative to art. Adding this many mirrors to one wall also amplifies the natural light. Design by HGTV Star winner Tiffany Brooks
The backsplash in this bathroom is the star of the show. Its circular white tiles are presented uniquely with black grout -- the contrast is striking, and dark grout doesn't show dirt and stains as readily as light.
To enhance the vaulted ceiling in the entry, reclaimed beams and barn board were added. To balance that textural warmth, the V-groove below has a warm grey wash on it, and dark charcoal on the doors and windows adds lovely contrast. Repeating that same desire for contrast, the lighting is bronze and iron tones, topping off with a mirrored star in the vaulted area.
Clean-lined and modern, this bathroom's primary area of focus and interest is the unique mosaic backsplash. Very thin and long tiles in tones of white and gray are intricate and artistic. The frameless mirror and understated double vanity allow the backsplash to be the star.
The bright orange patterned wallpaper is the shining star in this bathroom design. The mirror, featuring a pearl frame, is mounted above a traditional white vanity with dark neutral countertop matching the floor tiles. Glass sliding doors enclose the white shower with rainfall shower head.
HGTV Design Star competitor Jason Champion designed this transitional bedroom with a large padded headboard, patterned draperies, mirrored dresser and a mirrored wall that makes this small space feel less cramped.
This feminine bedroom designed by HGTV Star contestant Jessie Miller is a relaxing retreat in a fairly monochromatic color palette. Luxe details with gilded and mirrored accessories give the space a little glitz.
