In the master bathroom, designers created an oasis with a unique bathtub as the centerpiece of the showcase. Above it, a contemporary chandelier adds light on cloudy days and at night, while geometric prints on the wall add color to the space. The large picture window lets in plenty of natural light that makes the area feel warm and bright. This light is mirrored in the neutral wall color and the gray and white tile floor that was laid in a herringbone pattern to create a bit more texture in the space.
The shiplap walls in the family room paired with the distressed wooden mirrors speaks to a casual luxury that is the intended overall mood of the home’s decor. We were as focused on comfort and approachability as we were on making it aesthetically pleasing. In the collage of nine teak wood framed mirrors, no two are exactly alike. The natural wood tones are echoed by the side table’s zebra wood facade. My fave detail in this image is the smart and simple tailoring on the sofa.
Ornate decorative moldings adorn the walls and ceiling and are complemented with black paint and gold accents. The ceiling is a standout feature which consists of multiple elevations of diamond-shapes designed to draw the eye to the center of the ceiling where an oversized brass chandelier resides. A crescent-shaped macaron bar adds visual interest and additional counter space. The back wall features handsome antique mirrors to serve as the backdrop to the Macaron by Patisse signage embellished with brass-trimmed shelves designed for additional storage and showcasing macaron towers.
This luxurious master bathroom features mirrored detailing on the vanity cabinets that reflect custom artwork on the opposite wall. The raised center of the room features a mica ceiling treatment, and a dropped crystal chandelier further dresses up the space. Curved-front vanities echo the lines in the plumbing fixtures and tile pattern. A neutral color palette emphasizes the classic details of the space.
Opposite the mirror vignette, a gallery wall of framed art, including prints from Georgia O’Keeffe alongside some of Matthew’s photography work, sits above a beautiful vintage credenza. As a DIY moment, Amy added brass knobs to the honey wood credenza. Changing the knobs is one of her favorite secrets for transforming vintage pieces for a modern space.
As seen on season one of Sarah Sees Potential, this once cramped and dated kitchen is now a bright and modern cooking and entertaining space. Sarah removed a wall to open the kitchen up to the dining/living room and added plenty of cabinets for much needed storage. For an even more open feel, a large mirror was hung to reflect the space's gorgeous natural light.
Stunning in every detail this Victorian-inspired dining hall is sure to captivate your guests. The side serving bar is paired wonderfully with a large mirror that highlights the gorgeous chandelier and ornate wood fireplace from every view. The blue floral wallpaper softens the walls while the elaborate wainscot adds dynamic dimension to the ceiling.
A silver, white and cream color palette lends a glamorous yet soothing look to the hall bathroom of HGTV Green Home 2011, which features quartz countertops and a silver-leafed mirror. A shower curtain, custom-made for the space, hangs from the top of the wall to showcase the floor-to-ceiling bathtub surround and emphasize the 9-foot ceiling.
This eclectic neutral dining room features white and gold patterned chairs with gold burnished wood trim, surrounding a walnut table with a colorful arrangement of natural elements and stylish candlesticks. A unique brass chandelier draws the eye to the focal point of the room, while antique-finished mirrors pair with a white and gold buffet table and vintage accessories to add visual interest to the opposite wall.
As seen on HGTV's Fixer Upper, multiple walls have been removed in the first floor of this home to create an open concept floor plan. The rustic industrial space boasts a comfortable leather sofa, as well as two plush armchairs to provide plenty of seating, a rustic coffee table and industrial end tables, a deep purple rug and a vintage mirror that adds masculine sophistication to the space.
This chic, Zen bathroom is where the renovation began. The homeowners wanted a space that was more modern and functional, so designers began the design with warm, clean gray tile on the floor and walls. Then, they added just a touch of texture by installing a gray, stone backsplash with recessed mirrors to keep the space looking sleek and clean. Finally, a rich cherry vanity was installed for the finishing touch.
This small rented studio on Manhattan's Upper West Side is short on space but long on style. A Blu Dot for Target console table does triple duty as a vanity, workspace and dining table. The pinstriped wall paint treatment is both easy to produce and easy to cover up, an ideal combo for a rental. Hexagonal mirrors from IKEA add an artistic yet inexpensive element between the windows.
As seen on HGTV's Home by Novogratz, the Novogratzes used cool light blue paint for the walls to give this master bedroom a calming tone to complement the ocean view. Adding a vintage mirror for the client's own collection of furniture helps brings the soul to this modern architecture design. Finally, off-white curtains with tassels add some whimsical charm.
With this home's open floor plan, designers chose lighting, rugs and accent pieces that separate each space. The mirror behind the sofa was strategically placed to reflect the gorgeous outdoor views, as well as to further illuminate what was previously a very dark interior. To help lighten the space up, designers also incorporated a bright, white floor and white walls that completed the modern look.
As seen on HGTV's Love It or List It Too, Jillian has pulled in some coastal inspiration for this couple's new living room. The color of the accent wall mirrors the natural tint of the sea, while anchors and rope and other nautical elements make their way into the design for a beach side feel.
A soft blue tint to the glass show door matches the tufted blue seat set in the open floor over a fluffy, faux fur rug. The white marble floor extends up the shower walls decorated with a tile accent panel. A large double vanity set up turns the corner opposite the bathtub. White marble countertop and built in cabinets surround the his and hers sinks under large mirrors and victorian sconces.
A white, brown and gray modern farmhouse style sitting room and kitchen. A white couch, concrete table, gray and metallic arm chairs, white and gray rug, a pair of marble and wooden tables and white lamp fill the sitting room. Shiplap adorned with herringbone mirrors decorate the wall next to a wooden table with chairs. A marble island centers the kitchen with a trio of glass pendant lights.
This simple modern design boasts quality over quantity. Smooth, dark wooden cabinetry supports a lifted marble countertop. A white vessel sink with a modern stainless steel faucet is positioned below a mirror with a frame echoing the cabinet color. Large tile on the walls has a warm, neutral look in the low light of the sconces.
