In this small kitchen with minimal counter space, a table doubles as a prep station with a hanging pot rack overhead. Richly grained kitchen cabinets are illuminated by track lighting in the design featured on HGTV's Meg's Great Rooms.
KITCHEN, BEFORE: This kitchen/dining room combo wasn't ideal for the homeowners, who liked to cook and entertain. The kitchen had minimal counter space and guests had to take turns eating to have a seat at the table, as seen on HGTV's Love It or List It, Too.
Clean lines and minimal fixtures give this bathroom a modern, luxurious style. The sleek vessel sinks sit atop a sandy colored marble counter that blends seamlessly with the walls, while dark wood cabinet doors add contrast to the space. Recessed lights and small chandeliers keep the space from feeling flat and large. Gray tiles give the entire bathroom a spa-like feel.
One of the things these homeowners wanted for the design of their new home was a fun, functional place for their family to spend time bonding-particularly over food. So, in the kitchen, designers kept the concept simple, open and functional. Elegant materials and colors keep the space stylish, but minimal decoration helps maximize the useful space and minimize clutter. Designers made sure that the homeowners had tons of counter space for easy prep and serving, as well as plenty of cabinets for storage and a large sink, making for easy cleanup.
