Tile can not only be beautiful, it can be functional as well. Here designer Becky Sue Becker uses natural stone in warm tones to create a single bathing space out of two. Connecting the shower and bath with one streamlined look creates the idea that it is its own defined oasis in a spacious master bath.
This master bath remodel was sparked by a flood in the client’s home. Working with the same floor plan, the designer renovated the bath with new tiles, cabinetry, countertops and fixtures. The shower area features a corner seat and recessed niches for soap and shampoo, and the vanity is adorned with white cabinets with crystal knobs.
This master bathroom had originally been designed into sectional spaces, so light throughout was very minimal. By opening the floor plan and using pony walls and clerestory windows, natural light now fills the space consistently with the rest of the home. The extensive view in the remodel is now accessible from the main vanity, shower and bath areas.
