The perimeter cabinets in this lovely transitional kitchen use oyster finished maple with lots of detail and an amaretto glaze, creating a nice contrast with the mahogany flooring. The magnificent stone countertops blend all the colors in the room together.
The 2011 HGTV Dream Home's kitchen perfectly combines maple floors with charcoal-finished cabinets, quartz countertops, and high end appliances to create a sleek, modern chef's kitchen. A breakfast bar for less formal meals and frosted glass bring function to this designer space.
This modern tiny home uses wall to wall windows to make the space feel large and bright. Light colored maple wood makes up the floors, ceilings and cabinets and reflects the natural light of the outdoors, giving the space an open feeling.
This design embraces the size of this kitchen and the asymmetry of the built-in cabinetry by staining some of the cabinets a deep espresso color and leaving the cabinets on the primary wall (with stove and microwave) in a lighter maple. A fun touch visible in this photo is that the end of the peninsula is painted in chalkboard paint. Red accents, including a large clock, add pops of color throughout the space.
A pre-existing curved wall served as a springboard for the design of this ornate custom kitchen. Step back in time with spherical cabinets, armoires that hide two refrigerators and two curvaceous islands prepped for cooking. Carved lions, leaves and grapes on maple and cherry wood surfaces took nearly eight months to complete, and the details give the kitchen a traditional, lived-in flair, while still being functional. The final look is reminiscent of 19th-century craftsmanship.
